This is a Logistics role
handling mostly outbound sea freight shipments (although some
outbound airfreight shipments are involved) and working as a key
member of our shipping team. This role services our 'internal'
customers.
Job Profile
Outbound- books and manages our outbound sea freight shipments for
our London move management teams.
Overseas offices & agents- coordinates with overseas offices
and agents to ensure that correct paperwork is received in a timely
way to expedite the timely release of shipments without incurring
delays and/or costs.
Administration- ensures that our freight is booked and declared as
cost effectively as possible.
Teamwork- works as part of a team delivering a service for our
internal and external customers.
Candidate Profile
A high standard of personal organisation (including punctuality and
reliability) is essential.
A minimum of 1 years experience within the freight forwarding
industry and managing shipping lines and consolidators
effectively,
An element of commercial acumen is essential in order to minimise
our freight costs and deliver savings to the business.
Must have strong communication skills (written and spoken) in order
to work with all appropriate stakeholders within the business. EU
passport holder.
Must have an intermediate level of knowledge of Excel and be
numerate.
Experience of working with airfreight is desirable but is not
essential.
