Key Objective

allocated Clients’ insurance programmes in a timely, technically

To maintain income by retaining existing clients and expanding
their portfolio where possible.

Knowledge of Professional Indemnity is desirable but not essential.
Persons with good underwriting experience in the property field are

Job Requirements
Any suitable candidate will have a minimum of English & Maths

POLITICAL RISKS
PRODUCING BROKER ~ (CITY) ~ £45-55k
A Producing Broker is required for a city based
insurance broker. You will be required to produce trade finance and
associated political risk, contract frustration and credit
insurance business within marine, non-marine and aviation. This
vacancy is for someone that can bring a book of business to the
company. You will have at least 10 years broking experience and be
able to place as well as produce the business. Preferable you will
hold a Lloyds ticket and have the relevant insurance examination
however this is not essential.
PROPERTY AND
CASUALTY PRODUCING BROKER ~ (CITY) ~ £40-55k
A large city based Lloyds insurance broker that is
expanding rapidly requires 3 property and casualty producing
brokers. The ideal candidate will have excellent sound knowledge of
the UK and US property and casualty market. You will hold a Lloyds
ticket and have at least 3yrs experience in the property and
casualty side of business. Liaison with other brokers/underwriters
and directors gathering up layers so that the business can be
placed. Candidates with a book of business should apply immediately
however a book of business is not essential. Any other insurance
qualifications will support your application.
NON MARINE
PRODUCING BROKER ~ (CITY) ~ £45-55k
A large and well established Lloyds insurance broker that is
expanding rapidly requires 2 producing brokers to complete the
team. You will be gathering layers, liaising with other
brokers,directors and Lloyds brokers. producing all Non-Marine
business. Candidates with a book of business should apply in the
first instance however, this is not a necessary requirement. You
will be computer literate and have a sound knowledge in the non
marine side of insurance. Lloyds ticket is desirable along with a
minimum of 3yrs experience as a producing broker.
LIABILITY BROKER (CITY) ~
£35-45K
This role requires someone with 5-10 years experience
Broking at Lloyds and other direct markets. the applicant wail be
based in London working with the UK team broking to the lead
underwriters and making new contacts. Other duties will include,
Placement Broking, Account Handling & Client Liaison.

UK & American Markets, Candidates will be liaising
with Company Directors Underwriters and other Brokers, gathering
Layers together for the production of business in Property and Casualty Insurance.
Presentation will be required for this position.
Property Owners
Account Executive - £30k - Essex
Min 5 Years Property Owners insurance experience is
essential, Dealing with Property Owners, Managing Agents,
Architects, Surveyors, Contractors, Solicitors, Lenders and tenants
regularly. To Assist with the day to day running of Property Owners
Team including the development of a Profitable and growing book of
Business and associated covers.
Commercial
Account Handler/Executive - £30k - Essex
Duties include renewal presentations at meetings with
clients including report writing and also the gathering of risk
factors and data to enable quality re-market exercises to be
undertaken. The job will also require good negotiation skills with
insurers, whether they be the company market or Lloyds
underwriters. small to medium accounts. Good Education & or
ACII working towards.

To underwrite standard household insurance risks, in accordance
with personal authority levels and the requirements of the insurer
binding agreement.
To administer the division’s EDI system, communicating with brokers
where necessary.
Underwriting
Assess new business risks to determine whether the business matches
the company’s underwriting philosophy.
In accordance with personal authority levels, make decisions on
standard household risks to secure the best possible terms for the
company.
Gather and process information to support the effective assessment
of more complex cases where referral is required.

Investigate and clear validation errors e.g.
Message counts out of sequence

Allocate batches of Point of Sale (POS) policy numbers to EDI
brokers, recording these on Landscape. Contact brokers for
explanation/correction when there is a gap in their POS policy
number usage or when a policy number outside their POS range has
been used.

in line with FSA requirements and service standard

Commercial Underwriter required for the Commercial All
Risks (CAR) team. This role will ideally suit someone with 4+ Years
experience in commercial insurance. You will be required to build
relationships with clients and customers and be able to underwrite
individual cases and build a profitable business. Candidates Must
be progressing towards their ACII examination and have at least 5
GCSE's at grade A to C.
PROFESSIONAL
INDEMNITY UNDERWRITER ~ £28K ~ £35K - City
The successful candidate will be working in a very busy
office environment dealing with Professional Indemnity Insurance.
The Underwriting of risks under our line ship facilities, Binding
Risks on behalf of Underwriters, Providing a checking Role.
Technical resource for other staff. Ideally 5+ years PI Experience.
Good communication/team player but able to work independently, self
motivated, disciplined and well organised.
REINSURANCE
TECHNICIAN ~ (CITY) ~ £25-35K
A Reinsurance Technician is required for a city based
company. Your duties will be to collate R/I slips, examine
facultative reinsurance data, reconcile system output and data with
R/I slips, document errors, construct Dr/DC notes, arrange
settlement/recovery and construct and maintain filing system. You
must have at least 2yrs reinsurance experience, QS experience is
very useful and you must be able to work on your own
initiative.
ENERGY LOSS
ADJUSTER ~ (CITY) ~ £30-40k
Our client, is currently seeking to employ a Senior Loss
Adjuster to join their fast expanding commercial department dealing
with Energy claims.
This is an extremely interesting role in which you will have
sole responsibility for handling and adjusting your own claims and
you will therefore need to have an in depth understanding of the
technical side of Energy claims. The role will involve carrying out
detailed investigations, completing reports to insurance companies
and senior management and liaising closely with all relevant
parties and also some overseas travelling.
You will have gained at least 3 years Energy loss adjusting
experience or will alternatively be able to demonstrate an
exceptionally high technical commercial claims history. In addition
you will have gained the ACII qualification or be working towards
it, Society of Claims Technicians membership will also be
considered
